Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine will establish offices for arms export and joint arms production in Berlin and Copenhagen this year. The aim of this initiative is to develop Ukraine's defense industry with the help of Western partners. Zelensky mentioned that among the products that could be exported are naval drones and artillery systems. He emphasized the importance of co-production and arms export to generate revenue to support the domestic production of deficit items. Although Ukraine continues to rely on its allies for essential equipment, such as fighter jets and air defense systems, it has made progress in the development of drones and missiles. Zelensky also announced that Ukraine intends to start mass production of domestic missiles, Flamingo and Ruta, by the end of the year. A Ukrainian delegation will visit Washington next week for discussions related to a drone agreement with the United States.
