The Olena Zelenska Foundation’s warehouse in Kyiv was completely destroyed in a Russian attack carried out on Wednesday morning. No casualties were reported, but all humanitarian aid stored on the premises was destroyed by fire.
Representatives of Ukraine’s first lady’s foundation published photographs of the damage and said the warehouse had been “burned to the ground.” They thanked teams from Ukraine’s State Emergency Service for their rapid response and professionalism.
The warehouse contained goods intended for children, families and institutions in several regions of Ukraine. The destroyed supplies included generators, household appliances, laptops, tablets, e-readers and medical equipment. The aid was intended to support children’s education, the work of schools and hospitals, and families affected by the war.
Also on Wednesday, a warehouse belonging to the Kvartal 95 production company, co-founded by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, was hit by Russian drones with propulsion systems. Dozens of props were destroyed in the attack. The two incidents highlight the scale of the damage caused by attacks on Ukraine’s capital.
