Ukraine has begun preparations for organizing presidential elections, alongside a referendum on a possible peace agreement with Russia, according to sources from the country and abroad, cited by the Financial Times.

Although officials initially considered May as the deadline for holding these events, several sources have assessed this date as unrealistic. The Ukrainian electoral authority has emphasized that organizing the elections would require at least six months, given the current circumstances. Another official mentioned that, although it might be possible to organize the vote in a shorter timeframe, this would require legislative changes, as holding elections is prohibited during martial law.
