On Wednesday, almost the entire Ukraine experienced power outages due to damage to the electrical infrastructure caused by Russian attacks, according to the network operator, Ukrenergo. These emergency outages were implemented in all regions, except for the Donetsk region, where fighting is intense. The operator mentioned that restoration work is underway and urged citizens to use electricity sparingly. In recent weeks, Russia has intensified attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, raising fears that millions of people could be left without electricity during the winter. President Zelensky accused Moscow of wanting to create chaos among the population. Additionally, Ukraine has attacked energy infrastructure in Russia, including a power plant in Belgorod, causing power outages there as well.
