The President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, accused Russia of promoting a "reckless nuclear risk policy" following recent attacks launched against Ukraine, in which an Oreșnik missile with intermediate range was allegedly used. The European official described the bombings of residential areas in Kyiv as acts of intimidation and terror against civilians, in the context where Ukrainian authorities announced the interception of hundreds of drones and missiles launched by Russian forces. Kallas specified that the foreign ministers of the European Union will discuss next week new measures to increase international pressure on Moscow.
