During the visit of Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced a historic military co-production agreement, the first of its kind between the two countries. Starmer emphasized the importance of this agreement for strengthening bilateral relations, without giving specific details. Zelenski emphasized the value of collaboration in the Interflex program, which has trained more than 54,000 Ukrainian soldiers. The UK has been a major backer of Ukraine, allocating £18 billion in military aid from February 2022.
