The Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, stated that the repeated threats of U.S. President Donald Trump regarding a possible exit from NATO seem to reflect the 'dream plan' of Russian leader Vladimir Putin. Tusk emphasized that the dismantling of NATO, the relaxation of sanctions against Russia, the energy crisis in Europe, and the blocking of aid to Ukraine are all part of a coordinated strategy by the Kremlin. In this context, Poland recently rejected Washington's request to send air defense systems to the Middle East, with Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz clearly stating that Polish armament is intended for the protection of national airspace and NATO's eastern flank.

Additionally, Spain has refused to allow the use of bases in Rota and Morón for operations related to Iran, with Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez emphasizing that all flight plans for missions in this region have been rejected. Tusk highlighted that the reactions of allies to U.S. military actions against Iran have led to Trump's threats of withdrawal from NATO.
