American President Donald Trump generated controversy after stating that he deserves to go to Heaven due to the good deeds done for "perfect people." At the National Prayer Breakfast, Trump claimed that his remarks were misinterpreted by the press, which did not clarify that it was a joke. He explained that, although he does not consider himself a perfect candidate, he has done many good things for others. This statement contrasts with his previous claims when he said he does not believe there is anything that could take him to Heaven. Additionally, Russian leader Vladimir Putin made a similar statement in 2018, linking the concept of Heaven to the use of nuclear weapons.
