American President Donald Trump stated that he has several "exit options" regarding the recent military operation in Iran, which was launched in collaboration with Israel. In an interview with Axios, Trump mentioned that he could extend the action or conclude it in two or three days, emphasizing that the decision to launch the attacks was driven by the lack of progress in negotiations with Iran.

He explained that Iran had shown interest in an agreement but had consistently withdrawn from discussions, which led him to conclude that they do not truly want an understanding. After the initial attacks, Iran retaliated, attacking Israel and American forces in the region, which led to an escalation of the conflict in the Middle East.
