In a post on Truth Social, he stated that NATO nations have done nothing to help the U.S. in the face of Iran, which he described as a "crazy nation" now decimated militarily. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte avoided criticizing Trump's comments, mentioning that there are valid reasons for the delay in European reactions.

In a cabinet meeting, Trump described the conflict as a "test for NATO" and emphasized that he will remember how allies reacted. He claimed that Iran is "begging" to make a deal to end the war, mentioning that the U.S. has destroyed their air and naval forces. Additionally, a Trump envoy confirmed that the U.S. presented Iran with a list of actions for a possible peace agreement, but Iranian officials considered the proposal to be "unilateral and unfair."

Iran stated that it has not engaged in negotiations to end the war, and the foreign minister emphasized that the messages conveyed by the U.S. do not constitute a real discussion. In the context of the conflict, Israel announced that it has killed a senior official from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and has carried out attacks on Iranian infrastructure. Since the beginning of the war, over 1,500 deaths have been reported in Iran, and other casualties have been recorded in Israel, Lebanon, and Iraq.
