American President Donald Trump will hold a crisis meeting on Monday to analyze the current situation of the War in Iran, in the context of stalled negotiations regarding the cessation of the conflict and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Journalist Barak David from Axios announced on platform X that the meeting will include the national security team and will address the deadlock in discussions with Iran, as well as options for future stages of the war.
According to ABC News, the Trump administration is becoming increasingly optimistic about the impact of the naval blockade on Iranian ports, but more skeptical regarding the effectiveness of the current negotiations. Iran recently sent a proposal for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the cessation of the conflict, however, the conditions presented are considered by American officials to be below the expectations set by the administration.
