The President of the USA, Donald Trump, stated that all ships, aircraft, and American military personnel will remain in Iran and around it until the country fully complies with the ceasefire agreement.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump emphasized that military equipment, along with additional ammunition, will remain in position to pursue and destroy weakened enemies. The withdrawal of military equipment was a condition imposed by Tehran for ending the war. Trump threatened that if these conditions are not met, broader and more precise strikes will begin. He also reaffirmed the US commitments regarding the nuclear weapons ban and the security of the Strait of Hormuz.
General Dan Caine stated that American forces have achieved military objectives in Iran, but remain prepared to resume fighting if necessary. Caine mentioned that joint forces have struck over 13,000 targets, destroying 80% of Iran's air defense systems and over 90% of its conventional naval fleet.
