The President of the USA, Donald Trump, stated that Iran uses artificial intelligence as a "disinformation weapon" to distort the reality of its successes during the war.
This statement was made during a press conference aboard Air Force One and was preceded by a message on his platform Truth Social, in which he accused the Western media of collaborating with Iran to spread "fake news." Trump mentioned that Iran would have used AI to create false images, including non-existent kamikaze boats and a fictional attack on the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier. He also contested a rally supporting the new Supreme Leader of Iran, claiming that the number of 250,000 participants would have been generated by AI.
These comments come amid tensions between the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and television stations, with Trump threatening to revoke licenses for those that do not correct their news presentation. Although pro-government demonstrations were organized in Iran, Trump's claims were not supported by clear evidence.
