Tottenham Hotspur has publicly declared its support for its player, Destiny Udogie, following a terrifying incident in which he was threatened with a firearm on Saturday evening in London. The incident involved a man, suspected to be a player agent, who threatened Udogie and a male companion, attempting to extort them.

The police were alerted and have opened an investigation, and the assailant has been arrested, suspected of possession of firearms for criminal purposes, extortion, and driving without a license. Although no injuries were reported, the incident was deemed extremely concerning. Tottenham Club has confirmed the identity of the targeted player and has promised ongoing support for Udogie and his family, stating that they cannot provide further details due to the judicial nature of the case.
