The TikTok platform has decided to suspend the live streaming feature in Indonesia for a few days, following the escalation of violence during protests against President Prabowo Subianto. These demonstrations, triggered by the death of a motorcyclist hit by a police vehicle, have led to the burning of parliamentary buildings and the use of tear gas by the police. TikTok, with over 100 million users in Indonesia, aims to maintain the platform as a safe space in the context of these social tensions.
