The Finnish authorities have charged three sailors, including the captain, with involvement in the sabotage of submarine cables in the Baltic Sea.

The Finnish Public Prosecutor's Office has announced the indictment of the captain and two officers of the oil tanker Eagle S for aggravated criminal destruction and hindering communications. They are suspected of damaging the EstLink 2 power cable and four telecommunications cables on Christmas Day 2024. During the preliminary investigation, the sailors denied the charges against them.
