The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, announced that a WHO humanitarian warehouse in the city of Dnipro, Ukraine, was attacked and destroyed on Friday. So far, no casualties have been reported.

A WHO staff member and a driver went to the scene, managing to evacuate 130 of the approximately 300 pallets before the attack. The warehouse contained humanitarian medical supplies intended for frontline health facilities, especially emergency supplies.

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, WHO has recorded 3,148 attacks on health services in the country, most involving heavy weapons. These attacks have resulted in 240 deaths and 1,055 injuries, severely affecting the supply of medical materials.
