The White House has released a 14-second video featuring the cartoon character SpongeBob, dressed as a superhero, to promote the bombings carried out by the American armed forces in Iran. In the clip, SpongeBob says "they're going to see me do it again," followed by images of explosions of recently hit military targets.
This is not the first time the White House has used animation to communicate about military actions, as a character from the game Call of Duty was previously used. In the past, Donald Trump's administration was criticized for using artificial intelligence for political purposes, including a controversial video featuring Barack and Michelle Obama. Regarding the Iranian attacks, the U.S. Central Command reported a significant decrease in them, with a 90% reduction in rocket attacks and an 83% reduction in drone attacks in the last 24 hours.
