U.S. officials are in discussions with Chevron, SLB, Halliburton, and Baker Hughes to develop a plan for a rapid increase in oil production from Venezuela. This plan aims to mobilize these companies to repair and replace outdated equipment, as well as to revitalize older drilling rigs. By modernizing the infrastructure, it is estimated that Venezuela could increase production by several hundred thousand barrels per day in the short term. The use of modern equipment and American techniques could allow for the rapid restart of existing wells and the activation of new capacities within a few months. President Donald Trump recently emphasized that American firms will begin drilling in Venezuela, highlighting Washington's goal of boosting production after the capture of leader Nicolás Maduro. The White House and the companies involved did not provide immediate comments.
