The United States and Qatar have signed an agreement to build an airbase in Idaho, which will host F-15 aircraft and Qatari pilots.

The agreement was announced by U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and provides for the construction of an Emirati airbase at Mountain Home in Idaho. This will host F-15 aircraft from Qatar, strengthening joint training between the two countries. Hegseth emphasized Qatar's role in mediating negotiations between Israel and Hamas. Although the project was prepared during Biden's administration, it has sparked controversy among some of Trump's supporters, who contest collaboration with Qatar. Hegseth assured that the base will remain under American control.
