The UN Security Council will hold a meeting on Monday, requested by Ukraine, following the massive Russian attacks on Kyiv, which severely affected infrastructure and left half of the residential buildings without heating. Ukraine's ambassador to the UN, Andrii Melnik, condemned these attacks as a new level of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Ukraine's request was supported by six members of the Council, including France and the United Kingdom. Recently, the use of the Orezhnik ballistic missile by Russia was confirmed, which poses a serious threat to European security. The mayor of Kyiv has urged residents to temporarily evacuate the city due to the ongoing bombings.
