The torrential rains in the south and east of Spain have led to the death of one person and the disappearance of two others.

In Valencia, authorities issued red alerts, urging citizens to stay indoors and seek shelter on high ground, considering the devastating floods of October 2024, which resulted in the deaths of over 220 people. In eight other provinces, orange alerts were issued, and citizens were warned to prepare for a possible deterioration of the weather. In Malaga, the Civil Guard discovered the body of a man whose van was swept away by the waters, and in Granada, a young man is being searched for after being taken by the water while crossing a river on his motorcycle. Additionally, in Barcelona, a woman was hospitalized after being struck by a streetlight knocked down by the wind.
