Pete Hegseth, the American Secretary of Defense, stated that the Pentagon is investigating a devastating attack on a girls' school in southern Iran, which resulted in the deaths of over 160 people, mostly children. The attack occurred on Saturday, and the school is located near a facility of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Hegseth emphasized that it does not target any civilian sites and mentioned that there is no evidence that the school was used for military purposes. He also criticized the way the media covers the war, stating that tragic events are highlighted while successful operations are ignored. The United States has conducted airstrikes against sites in Iran, aiming to degrade the country's military infrastructure.
