During a press conference, high-ranking officials from the Pentagon, including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and General Dan Caine, stated that the war in Iran, now in its fifth day, is far from over and could evolve into a prolonged conflict.

The military campaign of the US and Israel has led to a significant reduction in Iranian attacks, with a 23% decrease in missile launches and a 73% decrease in drone strikes. However, Iran has inflicted casualties among American soldiers, including six soldiers killed in Kuwait.

General Caine announced that airstrikes will continue and expand into Iran, and the US is strengthening its military presence in the region.

In a surprising escalation, an American submarine sank an Iranian warship, marking the first sinking of an enemy vessel by an American torpedo since World War II.

Although there are concerns regarding ammunition stocks, officials assured that the American military has sufficient resources.

The conflict remains unpredictable, and fighting could last for weeks, severely affecting Iranian military infrastructure.
