The Kremlin has put the animated series "Masha and the Bear" under observation, accusing it of undermining traditional Russian values through the capricious behavior of the main character, Masha. A Russian political scientist claims that the four-year-old girl promotes a dangerous model of independence, contrary to the Kremlin's ideology, which does not accept that an autonomous girl does not submit to a male authority. This position has sparked criticism from some Russian writers, who believe that banning the series would be absurd and that unsupervised children's lives are essential for emotional and narrative development. Additionally, "Masha and the Bear" is not the only series that has caused controversy in totalitarian regimes, similar to the case of "Winnie the Pooh" in China.
