Reuters: The costs of transporting goods via the Black Sea have increased significantly, following Ukrainian naval drone attacks on two oil tankers from the Russian fleet.

Insurers have increased insurance premiums for the risk of war, reaching 0.5% of the ship's value for those stopping in Ukrainian ports, compared to 0.4% previously. Insurance for Russian ports has risen to between 0.65% and 0.8%. The attacks on the oil tankers Kairos and Virat, which were sailing under the Gambian flag, are the first recognized by Ukraine against civilian ships, which could provoke reprisals from Russia.

The Turkish President Erdogan has warned of a concerning escalation of the conflict, highlighting the impact on maritime security in the Black Sea.
