The Focșani – Adjud Nord section, part of the Moldova Highway A7, has entered the final phase of works, preparing for the opening of traffic, according to the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Transport, Irinel Scrioșteanu. This section connects to the Buzău – Focșani section, opened last year, and will allow for faster and safer traffic, eliminating congestion in the municipality of Adjud. With the opening, an uninterrupted connection will be ensured over 196 km between Ploiești and Adjud and a quick connection of nearly 240 km between Bucharest and Adjud. Current works include asphalting, installation of expansion joints, guardrails, signaling, as well as tests for the lighting system. The mobilization on site includes 2,874 workers and 365 machines, and the builders are optimistic regarding the rapid opening of the section, despite the recent unfavorable weather.
