Moldova Motorway A7: The Bacău North Interchange has been opened to traffic

The Bacău Nord Interchange has been reopened to traffic, allowing drivers to once again use all 16 kilometers of the Bacău Bypass, part of the A7 Moldavia Motorway. The announcement was made by CNAIR Director General Cristian Pistol.

The reopening enables uninterrupted motorway travel between Bucharest and the northern area of the city of Bacău along the A3–A7 route. According to Pistol, the 310.59-kilometer distance can be covered in less than three hours, without drivers having to leave the motorway network.

The final approximately four kilometers of the Bacău Bypass had been temporarily closed to build the connections between the Focșani–Bacău and Bacău–Pașcani sections. A week earlier, following the opening of the Adjud–Bacău section, around 12 kilometers had been reopened to traffic, up to the connection with DN2F.

With the opening of the remaining section, the entire Bacău bypass is once again available to traffic. Work on the Bacău Nord Interchange was carried out so that the next connection of the A7 Motorway would not require another closure of the bypass.
