The Federal Reserve of the USA has decided to reduce the monetary policy interest rate by a quarter of a percentage point, moving the range to 4.00%-4.25%. This measure comes in response to concerns about the slowdown in the labor market and rising unemployment. Additionally, the Fed anticipates two more reductions of 0.25 percentage points each in 2025. Projections indicate an inflation rate of 3% by the end of the year, above the target of 2%, while the unemployment rate is estimated at 4.5%.
