Reuters: Ukraine's accession to the EU will be difficult, regardless of Hungary's position

According to Reuters, a firm message has been conveyed by EU officials in Ukraine: the country must meet the necessary conditions to advance in the accession process, despite Hungary's opposition, which invokes the rights of ethnic Hungarians. The Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, emphasized the importance of respecting the rule of law and reforms to gain the support of all member states. Although Hungary's opposition represents an obstacle, European officials are optimistic that Ukraine will be able to align with EU standards, having strong commitment from Ukrainian society.
