The European Commission has unlocked 2.3 billion euros for Ukraine, supporting the budget and necessary reforms in the context of the war with Russia.

The European Commission has announced the unlocking of 2.3 billion euros for Ukraine, as part of the sixth tranche under the Ukraine Facility, an essential instrument for supporting economic recovery and reforms in the country. This money will contribute to stabilizing the state budget and will allow Kyiv to implement the necessary structural reforms for European integration.

So far, the EU has allocated 26.8 billion euros since March 2024, representing almost 70% of the available funds. The payment is conditioned on the successful implementation of reforms in areas such as public finance management, the judiciary system, and the green transition. The European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, emphasized the importance of these reforms in the context of Russia's aggression and assured that the Facility will remain crucial for Ukraine's European future.
