The European Union, through a resolution adopted on Thursday by MEPs, declared that it will not be intimidated by Russia's destabilization campaign and is determined to defend its security.

Russia's actions, including drone incursions and airspace violations, are considered part of a broader intimidation strategy, exacerbated by a disinformation campaign. MEPs emphasize Russia's responsibility for these attacks, which constitute a systematic threat to EU security.

The European Parliament expresses its solidarity with member states targeted by hybrid challenges and calls for the acceleration of military equipment deliveries to Ukraine. It also emphasizes the need to create a European Defense Union and strengthen the eastern flank of the EU and NATO. The resolution was adopted with 412 votes in favor, 63 against, and 53 abstentions.
