The Arrow system, developed by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) in collaboration with the American Missile Defense Agency, was recently activated in Germany, completing European missile defense. The Israeli ambassador to Germany, Ron Prosor, emphasized the importance of this system, which helps not only Germany but the entire Europe. Arrow operates at altitudes of over 100 km and can intercept missiles with a range of over 1,000 km, being considered essential for the protection of the population and infrastructure.
Germany purchased Arrow for 3.6 billion euros, in response to Russian threats. The activation of the system occurs in the context of reviewing Germany's defense strategies, which also includes significant military support for Ukraine, totaling about 40 billion euros since the beginning of the conflict. This positions Germany as the main European contributor to aid for Ukraine.
