Thailand accused Cambodia of violating the ceasefire by flying over Thai territory with over 250 drones, just a day after the two countries agreed on a ceasefire. The Thai army stated that the drones were detected on the night from Sunday to Monday, coming from Cambodia, considering these actions a provocation and a violation of measures to reduce tensions.
The Cambodian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prak Sokhonn, described the situation as a "minor issue" and emphasized that both parties agreed to examine and resolve it. The ceasefire was announced on Saturday, after three weeks of confrontations that led to 47 deaths and nearly a million displaced people. The two countries have a history of disputes over the border line, established during the French colonial period, and they accuse each other of escalating the conflict.
