On August 8, 2025, the General Prosecutor's Office sent an additional request for the extradition of Vladimir Plahotniuc to Greece, adding to the initial request of July 24. This request aims to extradite him for serious crimes, respecting the rule of specialty, which allows prosecution only for the acts mentioned in the extradition request. The preparation of the documentation was complex and required additional time due to the large volume of documents to be translated.
