The study commissioned by the Dutch government found that banning cell phones in classrooms led to significant improvements in learning. Nearly two-thirds of secondary schools adopted the measure, reporting better student concentration (75%), an improved social environment (59%) and, in some cases, better academic results (28%). Researcher Dr. Alexander Krepel pointed out that interactions between students were most positively affected.
