Stan Wawrinka, known as 'The Man', announced on social media that the 2026 season will mark the end of his professional tennis career. At 40 years old, he is ranked 157 in the world rankings and will turn 41 in March 2024.
Wawrinka stated: "Every book must have an ending. It is time for me to write the final chapter of my professional tennis career." Throughout his career, he has won three Grand Slam titles: Australian Open 2014, Roland Garros 2015, and US Open 2016, achieving his highest ranking of 3rd in 2014. He also contributed to Switzerland's victory in the Davis Cup in 2014, being recognized for the power of his shots and his one-handed backhand.
