In preparation for the Holy Year 2025, the Vatican has installed surveillance cameras at St. Peter's tomb and at the holy door of St. Peter's Basilica. These cameras will give virtual pilgrims 'symbolic' access in a year when up to 33 million visitors are expected to Rome. The Vatican will also launch an app to guide pilgrims in obtaining plenary indulgences.
