In a new business expansion strategy, Spotify, the Swedish audio streaming platform, will sell physical books, not just electronic ones.
This initiative is being carried out through a partnership with Bookshop.org, which will allow users to purchase physical versions of the books available on the platform. A new button will appear on the pages of electronic books, directing users to Bookshop.org to complete the order. This initiative goes against the trend of some bookstores to sell electronic books alongside physical ones. The purchasing function will be available from spring in the United States and the United Kingdom, with details about the expansion of availability still uncertain.
