The incident occurred on Friday morning, when a North Korean vessel crossed the demarcation line near the South Korean island of Baengnyeong. South Korean military issued audio warnings and fired warning shots, and the vessel retreated. No immediate reports were recorded regarding a possible response from North Korean forces.
