Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has said the British Foreign Office paid influencers to sway the 2023 legislative elections, favoring the Progressive Slovakia party. Fico has announced the summoning of the British ambassador for an explanation, citing a nearly 10 million pound contract with a media agency. Although Britain has denied the accusations, Slovakia plans to take up the matter at EU level and seek further clarification.
