The MFA has communicated that the situation in Syria is constantly evolving and it is in contact with European and regional partners in order to act according to developments on the ground. The staff of Romania's diplomatic mission in Damascus is safe and enhanced protection measures have been taken. The MFA also advises Romanian citizens to contact the Romanian Embassy in Damascus and to announce their presence in the region.
