The online sales platform Shein announced on Tuesday that it will fully cooperate with French judicial authorities, after prosecutors opened an investigation into the sale of child-like sex dolls. Shein's representative in France, Quentin Ruffat, stated that the company is prepared to provide the names of customers who purchased such products. Ruffat emphasized that the situation is "serious, unacceptable, intolerable" and that Shein will implement measures to prevent the recurrence of this incident. The investigation also targets other online retailers, such as AliExpress, Temu, and Wish, for distributing products accessible to minors. Following the scandal, Shein has imposed a total ban on sex doll products and has removed all associated listings. The company is preparing to open its first physical store in Paris on Wednesday, and Finance Minister Roland Lescure warned that he will advocate for banning the company from the French market if the products return online.
