According to the SVR, Europe would have a plan to occupy the Republic of Moldova, and NATO exercises in Romania would be a cover for this action. Moscow claims that NATO would concentrate military units near the border with Moldova, aiming to keep Chișinău on a 'Russophobic' policy. It is also mentioned that there could be a deployment of troops in the Odesa region, Ukraine, to intimidate Transnistria.
