A Russian military plane accidentally bombed a town in the Russian-controlled Lugansk region.

The shelling took place during military operations in the town of Rubinje, but there were no casualties. Lugansk's leader said the area had been evacuated. This is the second such incident in less than a week after another Russian military aircraft bombed a village in western Russia.
