On the night from Monday to Tuesday, the cities of Sumy and Novhorod-Siverskyi in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions were attacked by Russian forces with Shahed-type drones, according to local governors. As a result of these attacks, four civilians, two women and two men, were killed, and 16 people were injured, including a 10-year-old girl who was transported to the hospital. The governor of the Chernihiv region, Viacheslav Chaus, mentioned that approximately 20 locations in Novhorod-Siverskyi were affected, and the damage was significant.
In Sumy, the attack targeted an important intersection, causing considerable damage to vehicles and civilian buildings. The Sumy and Chernihiv regions have frequently been hit by Russian attacks since 2022, since the beginning of the invasion.
