Recent Russian attacks have caused severe disruptions in the supply of electricity, heating, and water in various cities across Ukraine, with the state company Ţenterenergo reporting that generation capacity has dropped to zero. Although repairs have been made and energy sources redirected, regions such as Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Poltava, Chernihiv, and Sumy may continue to face regular outages. This was the ninth massive attack on Ukraine's natural gas infrastructure since October, blocking about half of the country's gas production. Energy expert Oleksandr Harcenko warned that shutting down power plants in Kyiv for more than three days, under low temperature conditions, could lead to a 'technological disaster.' Meanwhile, Ukraine has intensified attacks on Russian energy infrastructure to reduce Moscow's fuel exports. On Sunday, Russia reported the destruction of 44 Ukrainian drones by its air defense units.
