On Sunday, the mayor of Kyiv, Vitalii Klitschko, announced that over 1,300 apartment buildings in the capital remained without heating following missile and drone attacks launched by Russia. These attacks have intensified strikes on Ukraine's energy system, and on Saturday, 1.2 million properties across the country were left without electricity.
President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that Russia is specifically targeting energy infrastructure and residential buildings, mentioning that over 1,700 drones and 1,380 aerial bombs have been launched this week. Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba reported that the number of buildings without heating has decreased from 6,000 to 3,200, and utility workers have managed to restore heat in approximately 2,000 buildings.
