Russia secretly helps Iran develop advanced supersonic cruise missiles (FT investigation)

A secret program, called C430L, has been revealed by the Financial Times, showing how Russia has helped Iran develop advanced supersonic cruise missiles capable of threatening American ships in the Middle East.

This program, which started in 2023, involved the recruitment of Russian experts in missiles and has been active during the American-Israeli conflict. The main goal of the program is to develop a ramjet propulsion system, which allows missiles to fly at supersonic speeds. Although Iran has already tested such a system, there is no evidence that the missiles developed with Russia's help have been deployed.

This close military collaboration reflects an increasingly deep relationship between Russia and Iran, aimed at enhancing Tehran's military capabilities. The C430L program continues until 2026, with active discussions between the two countries regarding the further development of the technology.
