Russia has launched a disinformation campaign to absolve itself of responsibility following the incident in Galați, where a Russian drone hit an apartment block on the night of May 28 to 29, according to a statement from the Center for Countering Disinformation in Ukraine.

According to the Center, Russian sources claim that the attack is a "planned provocation by Ukraine" to draw NATO into the conflict.

The Romanian Ministry of National Defense confirmed that the drone is Russian and entered Romanian airspace during an attack by Moscow on Ukraine.

Representatives of the Ukrainian center emphasize that Russia's actions represent a direct threat to Europe's security.

G4Media reminds that social networks have been flooded with pro-Russian narratives, and public figures, such as Robert Turcescu and Gheorghe Piperea, have promoted conspiracy theories related to the incident.

AUR has supported these narratives, avoiding mentioning Russia's responsibility.
